In a world where cosmetic procedures seem to get wilder by the day, Thailand just upped the ante with a treatment that’s raising eyebrows across the globe.

Move over Brazilian butt lifts and lip fillers – there’s a new procedure in town that’s got everyone talking, and it’s focused on a rather private area.
Bangkok’s Lelux Hospital has become an unexpected viral sensation after promoting a penìș whitening procedure on social media. Yes, you read that correctly.

The clinic, which typically advertises more conventional services like breast augmentation, has found itself in the spotlight for offering laser treatments that change the pigmentation of male genitalia.
A Booming Business That’s No Joke

Far from being a one-off gimmick, this service has apparently struck a chord with local clientele.
According to Bunthita Wattanasiri, manager of the Skin and Laser department at Lelux Hospital, they’re seeing approximately 100 clients monthly – that’s three to four men daily walking in for this intimate procedure.
“These days a lot of people are asking about it,” Wattanasiri told AFP, adding that clients typically range between 22 and 55 years old.

The hospital gained significant attention after releasing images of a man undergoing the treatment on Thai television and social media.
Not Their First Controversial Offering
If you think this is the first time Lelux Hospital has pushed boundaries, think again.
The same facility stirred controversy last year by promoting a “3D Vagìńa” beautification treatment, which uses the client’s own body fat to enhance genital plumpness.
“We have to be careful because it’s a sensitive part of the body,” Bunthita noted about their newest procedure, which doesn’t seem to be deterring customers despite the delicate nature of the treatment area.
Beauty At A Price
Looking to lighten up down there?
Be prepared to shell out around $650 for the full treatment, which consists of five sessions of laser whitening.
“I think it’s a good market to enter so we offer the ultimate body treatment to our clients, either men and women,” explained Bunthita, highlighting the business opportunity they’ve identified.
Part Of A Bigger Cultural Phenomenon
While this particular procedure might seem outlandish, it reflects Thailand’s broader preoccupation with skin color.
Whitening and bleaching treatments are extremely popular in the country, though they’ve frequently sparked outrage and accusations of racìşm.
Similar procedures are available in other parts of the world and widely offered online, but they seem to have found particular resonance in Thailand’s beauty-conscious society.
Mixed Public Reactions
As expected, social media users have had plenty to say about this trend. Comments range from concerned to bewildered to amused.
“The obsession… people nowadays can’t embrace their own skin color,” lamented one Facebook user, while another named Parin Ruansati simply asked, “Oh god… what ever happened to the world?”
Not everyone was critical, though. At least one person had a more casual response, simply writing: “why not?”
Whether you find it fascinating, or just plain unnecessary, one thing’s for sure – this clinic has found a unique niche in the ever-expanding world of cosmetic procedures.
And judging by their client numbers, there’s no shortage of men willing to brighten up their most private parts.
